Lifetime Achievement Award

Lifetime Achievement Award

Annually, VAPA presents a Lifetime Achievement Award to an individual working in the field of addictions. This award was originally established in 2021, and the VAPA Board of Directors unanimously selected Anthony Quintiliani, PhD, LADC, as its first recipient. Following his passing later that same year, VAPA renamed the award the Anthony Quintiliani, PhD, LADC, Lifetime Achievement Award for Dedication, Inspiration, Leadership, and Contribution to the Field of Addictions.

Anthony Quintiliani was a licensed psychologist and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor who devoted his career to passionately helping individuals manage and and recover from addictions and addictive behaviors.

Anthony was the Clinical Director of Howard Center where he worked for 25 years and ran their Addictions Academy, providing 10-12 workshops per year. He also taught at the University of Vermont, Southern New Hampshire University, Saint Michael’s College, and at the University of Vermont. In addition, he provided ongoing VAPA training.

From 2005-2021, he refined his clinical areas to include secular mindfulness and meditation trainings and established the Eleanor r.
